Sharon J. Perlman, DDS, MPH

Sharon J Perlman, DDS, MPH is an Oral Health Consultant to community organizations serving underserved families. She is a staunch advocate of preventing cancer through HPV vaccination, and is on a mission to motivate oral health professionals to promote HPV vaccination as much as brushing and flossing. As a member of the American Association of Public Health Dentistry’s Council on Practice, she led efforts for the successful adoption of the new HPV vaccination administration dental insurance code. Dr. Perlman earned her B.S. from the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana, D.D.S. from the University of Illinois Chicago College of Dentistry and her M.P.H. in Health Policy and Administration from the UIC School of Public Health. She served as the Chief of Dental Services for the Cook County Department of Public Health in Illinois and adjunct Associate Professor for the University of Illinois College of Dentistry, Department of Pediatric Dentistry.
