Dr. Gabrielle “Gabby” Darville – Sanders is the Strategic Director of the National HPV Vaccination Roundtable at the American Cancer Society. In this role, Dr. Gabby oversees the implementation and evaluation of activities, projects, and day-to-day operations in support of the HPV Roundtable’s mission. Dr. Gabby has been involved in HPV research, promotion, and practice throughout her professional career. Prior to ACS, Dr. Gabby served in Public Health Faculty roles at the University of Georgia and Mercer University. She also served as a Health Communication Fellow for the Division of STD Prevention (DSTDP) at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. In January 2017, she became a member of the HPV Cancer Free GA Workgroup under the Georgia Comprehensive Cancer Control Consortium (G3C) and served as Co-Chair from Jan 2020 until May 2022. For her achievements in her profession and impact on her community, Dr. Gabby was recognized by The University of Florida’s 40 Gators Under 40 in 2018. As a social scientist and practitioner, she incorporates translational communication strategies to her work focused on reducing HPV cancer burden and eliminating HPV disparities.
